Bill and Eivør - Biography
Eivør Pálsdóttir "...unleashes a torrent of profound emotion when she opens her mouth.
Live or on her eponymous North American CD debut, she offers up a voice so pure, powerful and
strangely primordial that it's something of a shock..."
- Greg Quill - The Toronto Star
'eivør' - "Immaculately produced, heartfelt, and eclectic..."
- Richard Thornley - Penguin Eggs
"Bourne supplies guitar, a couple of tunes ('Only A Friend of Mine', 'Where Are The Angels?'),
a co-lead vocal on Townes Van Zandt's 'If I Needed You', and most importantly, a shimmering and
subtle backdrop for Eivør to let loose on."
- Tom Murray - See Magazine, Edmonton, Canada
Multiple Juno Award winner Bill Bourne has received international acclaim for his recordings and live performances. While the traditional image of a spiritual seeker does not usually conjure top hat, boots, shades and a Gibson flat-top, like any living tradition, it's open to change. A mainstay on the international roots scene, the decades on the road are reflected in Bill's music - powerful rhythms and soulful songs, steeped in Blues, World Beat, Folk, Latin, Funk, Blues and more...
Bill Bourne - "A one man tour de force" - "who sings, plays guitar and writes with deep soul".
- Mike Regenstreif / Tom Russell
